Video Production Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Video Production Assistant based in Suriname to support our Video Creator in capturing visual content for our YouTube, TikTok, and Vimeo channels. As a Video Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with filming, photography, and content creation to enhance our online presence and engage our audience through compelling visuals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and organizing video shoots, including scouting locations, setting up equipment, and coordinating logistics.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos using a camera or smartphone, ensuring alignment with creative briefs and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Video Creator to capture compelling visual content that tells a story and resonates with our audience.
• Transfer media files to the Video Creator using email or file-sharing platforms such as WeTransfer, ensuring timely delivery and organization of assets.
• Assist with basic editing tasks, such as cropping, resizing, and color correction, to prepare media files for use in video projects.
• Maintain and organize equipment, props, and other resources needed for video production, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available.
• Support the Video Creator in brainstorming ideas, developing concepts, and implementing creative solutions to enhance video content.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in photography, videography, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using a camera or smartphone to capture high-quality photos and videos.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Dutch, with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to capture compelling visuals that align with our brand and messaging.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and collaborating with a diverse team to create engaging video content.
